MIFF’s Reel Flix program offers students a fun way to see festival films, discuss educational curricula, and ask questions that may not otherwise result from a traditional classroom setting. 2007 Reel Flix selections include Killer of Sheep, Enemies of Happiness, and a program of short films for students. Student Screenwriting Competition
Entries Due December 15, 2007

The Student Screenwriting Competition offers Milwaukee high school students with an interest in film and the arts access to professional filmmakers, equipment, and instruction. Students have until December 15, 2007 to submit a one-page idea for a screenplay (a treatment) for a short film along with a completed entry form. Writers of the best concepts will be invited to attend workshops to develop and submit a professional screenplay. Judges will determine the winning screenplay to be produced into a film, debuting on screen at the 2008 Milwaukee International Film Festival. Milwaukee Spotlight Student Film Festival

The Milwaukee Spotlight Student Film Festival is the first organization in Wisconsin devoted to supporting young film visionaries in the Milwaukee area—and beyond. Its mission is to celebrate and showcase student achievements in film with an annual film festival and awards ceremony.
